At Mad RV, our focus is on building caravans and 4x4 campers that make sense to the way people travel New Zealand.

Back in 2017, we started Mad Campers to help travellers get out there and experience more of this beautiful country. As Kiwi travellers ourselves, we’d already spent plenty of years exploring our backyard and understanding what makes a camper not only practical but also comfortable. Through Mad Campers we continued sharing in that passion, and soon enough we became one of New Zealand’s most recognised and innovative campervan rental companies. 

Along the way we got to know how people move around our country, what they rely on day to day, and the small details that make a big difference when you’re out there. We only became more excited to create better ways to travel and enjoy New Zealand’s outdoors, which naturally led to Mad RV.
